We did get some, but the box was too big/shallow to just dump out at the end of the season so it was a little difficult harvesting them. We also found that we didn't plant near the amount that we could have.
So, from our experience, I would say to plant a deep container that you can tip over easily come fall, and be generous in how many you plant. :)
For me, gardening isn't an exact science, and is pretty forgiving. It's a bit of a gamble each year as to what will grow great and what might do better next year, but that's part of the fun of it! I love trying new things and seeing how they work!
Give it a try and let me know how it goes! :)Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12154066921913123178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7225379772279216721.post-51919615258122825652012-03-21T18:58:39.437-07:002012-03-21T18:58:39.437-07:00Hello, I read the article in the paper and was gla...Hello, I read the article in the paper and was glad to find your blog. I live in town with a small yard so my gardening is very limited. I was wondering if you had ever done potatoes in a container? I've seen videos on youtube and I think I am going to give it a try this year. Just wondered if you had any experience with this.
